Greetings! Lets solve this shall we ?
So, we must solve for the missing variable x from the given equation 5/2x - 2/3 = 1/x + 5/6. We find the common denominator on both sides to get
(15/6x) - (4x/6x) = (6/6x) + (5x/6x)............Now we can add the numerators to obtain
(15-4x) / 6x = (6+5x) / 6x...........Now we cross-Multiply to obtain
6x(6+5x) = 6x(15-4x)..........Then we divide 6x to obtain
6 + 5x = 15 - 4x.............Add 4x and subtract 6 to both sides to obtain
9x = 9.........Finally, divide 9 to obtain
x = 1
I hope this helped!
