Greetings Alisha,
Mr. Sung Taee L. did a marvelous job at answering your question. However, since I am a writer, I will elaborate for your edyfication. Think of a mode being part of a set of fruits. As Mr. Sung Tee L. stated, the mode is the most frequent number.
Lets try it this way:
4 Apples, 2 Bananas, 5 Pears, 3 Plums.
Naturally you would order these in groups. Thus, the one that is most frequent (i.e., the pears) is the mode of the grouping.
However, do pay attention to what Mr. Sung Taee L. stated. There are cases of multimode sets. For example, if there were 5 apples, the grouping would have two modes.
In summary, it is the most frequent number in the grouping.
I hope that creative display helps as well.
Thank you Mr. Sung Taee L. for supporting Education!
