f(x) = 3x-9
g(x) = -2x + 2
Since f(x) = 3x-9 then what that means is that whatever
I put in the parenthesis f(__) is multiplied by 3 and then
9 is subtracted from the product.
(fog)(x) = f(-2x+2)
= 3(-2x+2)-9
= -6x + 6 - 9
= -6x -3
Personally I prefer the form f(g(x)) over (fog)(x). To me,
f(g(x)) immediately says "f of g of x"...
