The formula to remember for percent questions is:

Part = Percent x Whole

 

Here x would be Part, since you know the Whole and the Percent

 

x = .90 x 80 

x = 72

 

Here's another way to think about this question.  90% is almost all; it's just 10% less than all games.  You probably can figure 10% of 80 in your head- 8.  So, 80 games minus 8 is 72 games.
