Mendel's law of segregation refers to alleles of a single gene, an allele is an alternate form of a gene that might show a subtle or significant variation of trait/phenotype.
According to law of segregation, alleles of each gene segregate from each other during gamete formation in such a manner that each gamete carries only one allele for each gene.
