Biased or Unbiased

Question

Look at the 2 sentences.  Are they biased or unbiased and why

 

12. Students are asked, “Are you willing to waste weekend time volunteering at an animal shelter?”




13. Parents are asked, “Should we develop hand-eye coordination in our children by teaching them how to play computer games?”

12.  What do you mean, "waste my time?!!"  I think that my volunteer activity at the animal shelter is satisfying to me, is of great benefit to animals, and is a wonderful additional to our community.  Why do you ask such silly questions?   [note: was my question biased, or what?]

 

 

13.  This one is harder.  The question did not ask, "How should we develop ..?" or even "Is playing computer games useful for ...?"  Those would be better, but it is easier to answer "No" without being labeled as negative.  The best way that I can thing of for asking this question is to present "playing computer games" in a list and asking the respondent to rank the answers  in order as most effective in developing hand-eye coordination."  PLZ note that "should" asks for an opinion, not for the facts or statistics, so the respondent should feel free to give his/her opinion freely.
