When natural gas is burned in the laboratory burner, does the gas undergo a physical change or does it undergo a chemical change? Explain

Natural gas is composed primarily of methane although there are traces of other alkanes, oxygen and nitrogen from the environment. Since after burning you the products are different from methane, this process is a chemical change forming carbon dioxide and water.
