in Scientific notation can the 10 be to the power of zero? For example 6*10^0.

Anything to the power of 0 becomes 1.

For example,

 

9.998937390⁰ = 1

 

0⁰ = 1

 

1⁰ = 1

 

So anything times 10⁰ would equal itself because you're multiplying by 1.

6 x 10⁰ = 6
