Mary reduced the size of a painting to a width of 3.3im. What is the new height if it was originally 32.5in tall and 43.9in wide?

I believe you're doing ratios here? If so, then:
32.5/43.9 = h/3.3
32.5 * 3.3/43.9 = h
107.25/43.9 = h
2.4 ≈ h
