                  Y-  X  =4          Now lets write in terms of Y   and then substitute

 

          Y=  4  +  X   --->  Substitute for Y  we have...

 

             4  +  X  -  X  =4

           -4  +x     +x   -4

                  X  =         0      ------->   Put in for X

 

 

         Y  =   4  +0   

 

         Y=    4                     Solution set  (0,4)

 

 

                        Check:

 

                   Y  -X  =4  

 

                  4   -0   =4

 

                  4      =4
