How do I convert this equation to Standard Form y^2 + 2y - x = 0

I need to complete the square.

y2 + 2y - x = 0          add x to both sides
y2 + 2y      = x          complete square
y2 + 2y + 1= x + 1   change into binomial squared
(y + 1)2 = x + 1
