asked 01/22/16Radius=2. What is r=2csc (pi/4). How do you do it with csc to get either sine or cosine. Confused.
someone please help me understand this. Teacher didn't explain.

Use the conversion.
Csc x = 1/ sin x
r=2csc (pi/4) = 2/ [sin (pi/4)] = √2
There seems to be an error in the problem.
You say that radius =2. Yet r (I assume this to be the radius) = √2.
