Dean has built a rocket out of spare parts he found around the house. He launched the rocket at 8am today. The rocket's height above the ground is a function of time after launch calculated by the function h(t)=-5/2t^2+100t, where h is measured in meters and t is measured in minutes.
a) At what time(s) of day was the rocket on the ground?
b) What is the rocket's height at 8:04am? Indicate units.
c) At what time of day was the rocket's height 190 meters? Indicate units.
d) What is the rocket's maximum height and at what time day did it occur? Indicate units.
