An overall (weighted) average is just as though you got the same score the amount of times that the weight indicates.
In great detail, this is (97+97+97+97+...97+0+0+0...+0)/100 80 97's and 20 0's
It's a little simpler to compute (80*97 + 20*0)/100 = 77.6
Note that this is also:
(.8)*97 + (.2)*0 = 77.6
So you could think of this situation as getting 7760 points (80*97) out of a possible 10,000 (a 100 100's)
