Applying SImple Math to Everyday Life Activities
We need to add the fractions, but the fractions have different denominators. We need to find the lowest common denominator (LCD) of the fractions. LCD is 128.
Multiply the numerator and the denominator of the second fraction by 2.
(1 / 128) + (2 / 128)
Now we can add the fractions. We get
3 / 128
This fraction cannot be reduced because there are no factors that 3 and 128 have in common other than 1.
