So far, we have 5x+(-4)y = C and we need point (6,-2) to find C.

    5(6)+(-4)(-2) = C

      38 = C

The equation of the line in Standard Form is:  5x-4y=38

y=mx+b

y=(5/4)x+b

-2=(5/4)*6+b

-2=15/2+b

-19/2=b

y=(5/4)*x-19/2
