Write an equation for the line described. Give the answer in standard form; through (0,2), m=5/6

The Standard Form of the equation of a line looks like: Ax+By=C.   The slope, m=-A/B = 5/6.

So far, then, we have 5x-6y=C and we need point (0,2) to find C.

      5(0)-6(2)= C

           -12=C

The equation of the line is:    5x-6y=-12

so y-2 = 5/6(x-0)

y = 5/6x+2

6y=5x+12

5x-6y+12=0
