the area of a rectangle is 256.5meters if the length is 18 meters what is the perimeter of the rectangle

um I need to know the answer to this very challenging question anyone who knows the answer please tell me

Area = length x width

 

256.5 = 18 x W

W = 256.5/18 = 14.25

 

Perimeter = length x 2 + width x 2

 

P = 18*2 + 14.25*2

 

P = 36 + 28.5 = 64.5

I am going to give you some hints and I bet you can figure it out!

 

If the area is the length x the width, you should be able to find the width. How do you find the perimeter given the length and width?
