After 5 years the population will be 60,000

After 10 years the population will be 120,000

After 15 years the population will be 240,000

After 20 years the population will be 480,000

After 25 years the population will be 960,000

 

What about the last 40,000?  What percentage of 960,000 is 40,000?

The answer is .04167 of 5 years  or .21 years.  My answer would be

25.21 years.
