B/k = (R+x)/x ... "unadd" the fraction on the right to get:
B/k = R/x + x/x ... Evaluate x/x to get:
B/k = R/x + 1 ... Subtract 1 from both sides to get:
B/k - 1 = R/x ... To subtract on the left side, you need common denominators to get:
B/k - k/k = R/x ... Subtract on the left side to get:
(B-k)/k = R/x ... Flip both fractions to get:
k/(B-k) = x/R ... Multiply both sides by R to get:
Rk/(B-k) = x
