your grade. So far you have scored 98% in the class. You must have AT LEAST 91.5% to get
an A. How low a grade can you get on the final and still get an A?

Your current score is weighted 75% and your final exam is weighted 25%.  The added together need to add up to 91.5

 

Therefore your equation looks like this  91.5 = 98(.75) + x(.25); after you solve for x you get 72  and that is the minimum you need to have on your final exam to make 91.5.
