Based on your diagram, it shows the ball is hanging on a cable attached to a ceiling.  A downward force creates tension on the ball attached to the cable.  This force is gravity.

T = mg

 

where:

T = tension

m = mass of ball in kg = 5 kg

g = acceleration due to gravity = 9.81 m/s²
