multiply first equation by 5 and multiply second equation by 6

120x+95y=1729.35

120x+90y=1684.50

y=44.85/5

y=$8.97 cost per ounce of carnation

20x+15(8.97)=280.75

20x+134.55=280.75

20x=280.75-134.55

20x=146.20

x=146.20/20

x=$7.31 cost per ounce of marigold
