What statistical test to use for the following?

1. Level of traffic on a website the year before implementation of a change, the year of the change and the year after the change.

2. Proportion of a targeted group in a larger group the year before implementation of a change, the year of the change and the year after the change.

3. Student satisfaction with a program – survey of closed questions, the year of the change and the year after the change.

4. Percentage of people doing a task.

5. Cost of doing something in relation to income generated.

Identify what is being measured (means, proportions, etc.), identify type of sample (independent samples, dependent samples, etc.), identify type of measure (one time, repeated measures, etc.), are simple samples or multiple samples compared? (aka, t-test vs anova), are sample data homogeneous or categorical? (t-distributions vs chi-distribution).

I'd suggest you make a neat flow chart for yourself and use it to answer these questions.

 

For instance, in the first question you have 3 samples based on the same web site, you measure traffic, so data can be considered relatively homogeneous => repeated measures ANOVA with Tukey post hoc.
