What is the magnitude of the runner’s total displacement?

A football player runs directly down the field for 24m before turning to the right at an angle of 30? from his original direction and running an additional 17m before being tackled. Answer in units of m.

Picture a triangle, with sides of A=24 m, B=17 m, and C=(unknown) m.  The angle between B & C is 307°. 

 

The question asks for only an order of magnitude for side C.  Since the orders of magnitude of A & B are both (larger than 10 m.  and smaller than 100 m., one would expect that C would be the same order of magnitude, especially since the angle is acute.
