Let's assume the nnumbers are x & y
Hence Given that, x+y= 9....(1)
and, x-y= 3 ....(2)
2x =12 ...... adding (1) and (2),
=>x =6 ......... dividing both sides by 2
Substituting x=6 in (1), 6+y=9
=> y=3... subtracting 6 from both sides
Hence the numbers are 6 and 3.
