an x intercept is a point on the graph where y=0
a y intercept is a point on a graph where x=0
To find the y intercept you first set x equal to 0, then solve for y.
2(0) - 4y=-8
-4y=-8.....divide both sides by -4
y=2.....the y intercept is 2.
Now to find the x intercept set y equal to 0, and solve for x.
2x-4(0)=-8
2x=-8......divide both sides by 2
x=-4.......the x intercept is -4.
To graph simply connect the dots of (-4,0) and (0,2)
