IF f(X)={x², X>3 ; 3X+4, 0<X<3 ; X³+2 , X<0

find (f°f°f)(-1)

 

p.s the answer is 49! i dont know how this f(x) includes three terms x² , 3x+4 and x³+2 And which term i need to use for the (f°f°f)(-1)

(fofof)(-1) = (fof)(f(-1))   Since -1< 0, f(-1) = (-1)³ + 2 = 1

 

               = (fof)(1)

 

               = f(f(1))    Since 1 is between 0 and 3, f(1) = 3(1)+4 = 7

 

               = f(7)       Since 7 > 3, f(7) = 7² = 49

 

               = 49
