(2x^2)^3 the answer was 8x^6. How do you solve it? I'm  confused.

Expand the expression.

 

(2x²)³ = (2x²)(2x²)(2x²)

 

 

Multiply the constants and add exponents of common bases.  The result is

 

8x⁶

It is basically distributing the exponent within the parathesis:

 

(2x^2)^3 = 2^3 * x^(2*3) 

               =     8  x^6
