What you did is not correct,

Is it ( 7 + t)^{2 }(t+5) / ( t + 5 )^{2} ( t -1 )

( t + 7 )^{2} / t^{2 }+ 4t -5

( t+ 7 ) ^{2}/ ( t+5)(t - 1 ):

May be it was:

( t + 7) ( t + 5 )^{2} / ( t +5 )( t -1 )=

( t +7 ) ( t +5 ) / ( t -1 )
