Solving nonlinear equations for both real and imaginary problems

Three examples 
 
X^3+5x^2=0
 
2x^4-x^3-6x^2=0
 
9x^4-28x^2+3=0

For problem 2, the factored
 
2x2 - x - 6           can be factored to           (2x2 + 3)(x - 2)
 
 
through some quick guessing and checking and basic understanding of FOIL.  However, in the case this could not be factored using FOIL, we would need to resort to the quadratic formula.
