40% B = 60% S +128

 

on the other hand:

 

6 times B = 17 times S  =>  6B=17S   =>  B = 17/6 S

 

40/100 x 17/6 S = 60/100 S + 128

 

40 x 17 =   60   S +  128

   600        100

 

   680  -  360   S =  128

         600

 

S = 128 x 600

      680 - 360

 

S= 76800 =  240

       320

 

S= 240

 

=>  B = 17/6 x 240 = 680

 

B = 680
