x^2+50=0
x^2+0x+50=0
±√-200/2
(±√100√2√-1)/2
±10i√2/2 because √-1=i
x=±5i√2
it's easier to do the following than to use the quadratic formula:
x^2+50=0
x^2=-50
x=±√-50
x=±√25√2√-1
x=±5i√2
x^2-4x+13=0
(4±√16-52)/2
(4±√-36)/2
(4±√36√-1)/2
(4±6i)/2
x=2±3i
