Assumption: Suzanne is to put a copper X (corner to corner) on each side of the box, except the bottom and the top. The top will have a cover on it that extends beyond each side of the box by 10cm and it also gets a copper X.
Front and back sides:
90 cm X 70 cm
Left and right ends:
70 cm X 70 cm
Cover:
110 cm X 90 cm (90 + 10 +10) X (70 + 10 + 10)
Front copper X:
90^2 + 70^2 = L^2
L = sqrt(90^2 + 70^2) = sqrt(8100 + 4900) = sqrt(13000) = 114.02cm
Need two of these to make an X, so 228.04cm for the Front
Back copper X:
same as the front, so another 228.04cm
Repeat for the 2 ends using 70 and 70
Repeat for the cover using 110 and 90
Add up the Front, Back, Left, Right, and Cover amounts
Compare that to the amount of wire she has (which you did not provide in your description) and you can answer the 2nd question.
