Standard form of a linear equation is given by, Ax + By = C. Transform each equation into this form.
- y + 1 = -(x+3)
y + 1 = -x -3 (Distribute the negative sign)
y = - x -3 -1 (Subtract 1 from both sides)
x + y = -4 (Add x to both sides then simplify)
2. -10x-y=-5
10x + y = 5 (Multiply both sides by -1.)
3. -4-2y=-x
x -2y = 4 ( Add x to both sides and add 4 to both sides.)
