Hello Hannah,
I am assuming "ns" means nanoseconds. The "nano" prefix (stolen by apple not long ago!) means one billionth:
1 ns = 0.0000000001 s = 1 x 10-9 seconds.
Converting seconds to nanoseconds can be easily done by multiplying by 1 billion = 109 .
0.00012 s * 109 nanoseconds/second = 120,000 nanoseconds.
