One way to express "75 plus 15" using the Distributive Property of Multiplication over Addition (DPMA) is:
Think: 75 = 5 * 15 and 15 = 1 * 15
75 + 15 = (5 * 15 + 1 * 15)
Removing a common FACTOR from each of these results in:
75 + 15 = 15*(5 + 1)
This combines back, of course, to 15*(6), which = 90, as does 75 + 15
