For finding the ratio first you have to look what exactly you have the question let’s have an example I have 10 red shirts and 30 white shirts. So what’s the ratio ? You can simply divide them like 10/30 and you will get ratio of 1:3.

so look first divide 10/10 =1

then 30/10=3

so the ratio is 1:3
