simple interest and compound interest

Which of the following could be the no of complete years in which a sum of money put out at 20% yearly compound interest will become more than double but less than thrice?

I agree the wording is confusing. I suggested both c and d are possible. As 4 years of compounding is also greater than 2x and less than 3x.
