f(x)=x+2   g(x)=x+5

 

(f+g)(x)= f(x)+g(x) = (x+2) + (x+5) = 2x+7

 

(f-g)(x)=f(x)-g(x)= (x+2)-(x+5)=x+2-x-5=-3

 

(fg)(x)=(f(x))(g(x))= (x+2)(x+5)=x²+5x+2x+10

          = x²+7x+10

 

(f/g)(x)=f(x)/g(x)= (x+2)/(x+5)
