Let's clarify something: Is it really √x - 4, or is it √(x - 4) ?
For x = 13, if it's √x - 4, then we have √13 - 4, which can't be simplified. If it's √(13 - 4), then it's √9 = 3
For x = 0, we have either √0 - 4 = -4, or √(0 - 4) = √(- 4) which is an imaginary number, 2i
