Question

1. A pyramid has a height of 10 cm and a square base with sides of 5 cm.
Calculate the volume in litres. (Give you answer correct to 2 decimal places):

V = 1/3 BH  where B stands for Base and H stands for height    OR

V = LWH/3   where LxW is length times width, which is the same as the base area or B, multiply by the height and                            divide by 3 

 

In this particular problem, you are provided with all the necessary information:

 

5 times 5 times 10

 

= 250

 

Now, divide this answer by 3 for volume of pyramids and you get:  83.333333 but must now round to 2 decimal places                           as instructed, getting 83.33 as your final answer.
