I would replace the ; with a : after the word tonight...
We need more of a break there than provided by the semicolon.
Also, you have a misspelling of "whether" and no period at the end
This was weighing hard on my mind tonight: Ladies, whether it be taking care of the house or the bills, there is no reason why you should be making excuses about why you can't provide for your family.
