Hello ,Ma'am/Sir....can anyone please explain this to me and how can I solve this quadratic equations by Factoring?

x² - 10x + 25 = 0

 

 

Factoring using FOIL.

 

(x - 5)(x - 5) = 0

 

 

Set the factors equal to zero.  Note that the factors repeat. This is because it is a perfect square equation.

 

x - 5 = 0 

 

x = 5

 

 

 

2)

 

h² + 6h = 16

 

 

Subtract 16 on both sides of equation to make the right side equal to zero.

 

h² + 6h - 16 = 0

 

 

Factoring using FOIL.

 

(h + 8)(h - 2) = 0

 

 

Set the factors equal to zero.

 

h + 8 = 0             and              h - 2 = 0

 

h = -8                  and               h = 2
