In a jar of cookies 1/8 of the cookies are oatmeal raisin, 1/4 are peanut butter, 1/2 are chocolate chip, and the remaining 12 cookies are mint. How many peanut butter cookies are in the jar?

Therefore the 12 mint cookies are the remaining 1/8 of the total, 96

One-fourth of 96 is 24.
