write a 3rd degree polynomial given the zeros: 5,-2i

To add on to Mark's answer.  The conjugates (x + 2i) and (x - 2i) are obtained using the quadratic formula.  This is because the quadratic formula consists of a plus/minus sign.
 
So if one solution is x = -2i,
 
then
 
another solution is x = 2i.
