An ice cream cone is 11.5 cm high and has a diameter of 5cm. What is the APPROXIMATE volume of the ice cream cone? Use 3.14 for ∏ and round to the nearest tenth.

Volume of a cone is given by the following equation

V= 3.14* (h/3) r^2 

 

Diameter of the cone (D) = 5cm 

Radius= D/2= 5/2=2.5cm

 

height of cone (h)= 11.5

 

Volume= (3.14)*(11.5/3)* (2.5)^2

 

Volume of cone= 75.3cm
