find the angle that is less than 360 degrees and coterminal with 45 degrees.

45º-360º=-315º

start at the positive side of the x-axis and move clockwise until you get to the terminal side of 45º

this gives you a negative angle of 315º, -315º

if you wanted another coterminal angle you would add 45º+360º to get 405º but you said less than 360º
