How do you rewrite expressions using the distributive property

rewrite expressions using the distributive property

-7/3-7/3-2/3

I can't figure out this at all; on my math lab they came up with the answer -14/3 and I don't know how they came up with that answer.

Comments

      7          7          2
–  ——  –  ——  –  ——  =
      3          3          3

           1                1                1
– 7 × ——  –  7 × ——  –  2 × —— =
           3                3                3

Let's take 1/3 (the common factor) out of parentheses

     1                               1
– —— • ( 7 + 7 + 2) = – —— • 16 =
     3                               3

    16               1
– ——  =  – 5 ——
     3                3
