Piecewise function

This is a piecewise function....I'm not understanding my notes in class...can someone explain how to solve this please?

f(x)= 1/4x+2 if x < -2

-(x-1)^2+1 if -2≤x≤2

               2 if x>2

solve for f(-1) f(2) f(4)

-1 is greater than -2.  You use the second function to evaluate x=-1.

When x=-1, we are in the second piecewise function.
